Rookie Anna Nordqvist of Sweden won the LPGA Championship at Bulle Rock by four strokes on Sunday.
Nordqvist shot a final-round 68 at Bulle Rock for a total of 15-under-par 273 to claim her first LPGA title.
The 22-year-old Swede began the final round with a two-shot lead and by the end of the day was four clear of runner-up Lindsey Wright of Australia.
Her victory represents her first major tournament title as a professional after coming through at amateur level.
Nordqvist won the British Amateur championship in 2008.
Wright had earlier let two early birdie opportunities slip away and three-putted the par-three seventh to drop to eight under par for the tournament.
Nordqvist's best previous finish this year was a tie for 17th in the Corona Championship.
Her LPGA Championship victory follows that of Yani Tseng, who won as a rookie in 2008 at Bulle Rock.
